👷Creator Types & Compensations
Creators are the key ingredient for the EconomyX platform helping build the range of assets needed to build the worlds.
We strongly see the necessity of having two types of creators:
Primary/Base creators - Expert creators / artists who build the assets from ground up.
Secondary/Skin creators - Basic modder or artist who re-skin an asset curated by a Primary creator (only if creator allows it).
NFT sale - revenue Breakdown
For sale of assets created by Primary creators
Sale cost => Primary Creators Split + Transaction fee
For sale of assets modified by Secondary creators
Sale cost => Primary Creators Split + Secondary creators Split + Transaction fee
Primary creators can mention a % of sale when used by secondary creators or can completely limit the use by secondary creators.
Sales & Revenue split
Influencers have the option to incorporate merchandise into their virtual worlds and sell them to their audience. They can also promote, and market wearable items created by affiliated creators, with the expectation of receiving a small share in the sales generated through their world. The exact percentage or share can be negotiated and agreed upon between the influencer and the affiliated creator.
Creators, on the other hand, have the opportunity to sell their items directly on the marketplace. By doing so, they can potentially earn a higher split from the sales compared to when their items are sold through an influencer's world. The specific split or percentage can vary depending on the platform or marketplace policies, as well as any agreements made between the creators and the platform.
The revenue split for creators is determined by factors such as number of contributors, type of asset class or creators can also add a pre-cost to their NFTs to be used for premium products. The specific ratio for revenue distribution among contributed creators is decided during the minting process for each non-fungible token (NFT). A portion of the revenue is allocated to creators on each sale, and a transaction fee is also included in the revenue split.
Splits can also vary based on Primary / Secondary Sale of items.
Per Sale Revenue can reach a subset of/all of these following parties, depending on circumstances:
Understanding Transaction Fee:
Transaction fee is usually split between multiple parties and that can vary based on circumstances listed below:
Primary Sales
A share to Tribez
A share to the Game Developer
A share for Token stackers
A share (20%) is Burnt to reduce Total supply.
Secondary Sales / Renting & Lending / Trading
A share to Creator of item (as Royalty)
A share to World Contract (if transaction happens in a Virtual world) (goes to 3rd party Game dev if integrated to external games)
A share to Tribez
A share for Token stackers
A share (20%) is Burnt to reduce Total supply.
Understanding World Revenue Split:
All Revenue Generated in a World through Sales is collected and managed by a World Contract and after every session it starts distributing the revenue among all of its contributors with a major share going to the Host/Influencer. Below is the list of parties that get a split in World Revenue.
Affiliations:
Affiliations are deducted from the influencer's cut and do not have compounding effects.
A 10% cut is taken from the influencer's cut, generated through users joining through affiliation, for a lifetime.
For example, if a user joins World X and then diverts to World Y, every time they make a purchase in World Y, the influencer's cut generated from that user will be calculated, of which 10% goes to World X.
Asset Packs:
The cost of asset packs is deducted from the world's revenue split.
The deduction is based on the amount of usage of the asset packs in the environment.
World Builder's Cut:
The world builder's cut is deducted from the world's revenue split.
The percentage or amount is determined by a custom contract that is approved by both parties.
The world builder may ask for a default cut or a fixed price, especially if a template is used.
Mini-Games:
The revenue generated from mini games is based on the amount of interactions with the game.
The more interactions, the higher the potential revenue.
Influencer's Cut:
The influencer's cut is a fixed percentage from the world's revenue split.
This cut is distributed among the influencer/host and affiliates.
Secondary Sale of Items
Applies to Characters | Wearables | Add-ons | Skins
Every time you sell/lend an item that you previously bought the generated revenue will be split among {You, item creators, transaction fees & dev team}, you would be benefiting from higher share in the split among all other contributors.
